Gaslighting

This word came into prominence in American society most recently when trump was installed into the White House. He’s a classic gaslighter; most narcissists are.

In a sentence: Lucretia was so insecure in her romantic relationships that she used gaslighting to wear down the confidence of her partners because this made them easier to control.

In another sentence: trump sycophant, Kelly Anne Conway, displayed a classic example of gaslighting when she accused the media of using, “alternative facts,” in reporting on trump’s misdeeds.

It’s a serious form of psychological abuse.
