A sad anniversary

Today 12/14/2021 marks one year since my Cammie died. I still miss her so much. She was the sweetest, goofiest cat. Dog people loved her; she was so loving and entertaining.

Cammie’s front paw print, taken after her death before cremation.

She loved to poke her fangs through paper. Debit receipts were her favorite, but on more than one occasion I had to rescue lottery tickets from her little jaws.

She also loved sleeping on her back and getting belly rubs. She had the softest fur of any cat I ever petted. She was a chubby girl. I used to call her my chunkasaurus. When I first caught her sleeping on her back with her front paws curled and her rear legs poking upward, I told my roommates that she looked like a manatee. That pose was thereafter called, “Cammie’s manatee pose.”

Ribbons and stringy things were her favorite toy. One of her tricks was to get a ribbon looped onto the base of her tail and then prance around the house meowing as if she was announcing, “Lookie what I did!”

My chunkasaurus.

I miss you my sweet baby girl. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹
