The flu?? WTF?

My malaise now has a name. It is Flu A. I have the flu, an A strain.

Dusk over my street on day last Summer—I think. I took this photo. Winter Springs, Florida.

It’s not the sinus infection I thought it was. At least now I know why I’ve been so fatigued, and dizzy. I’m dizzy now, as I sit on my bed and type this.

I’m trying to come out of my break from WordPress, but I will have to take it slow.

I went to the doctor today. I saw Dr. Lauridsen’s stand-in, Dr. Smuckler. He’s a pretty nice guy. He shops at Sprouts; I’ve rung him up a few times.

Speaking of work, I had to call out today to try and get the appointment with my primary (Lauridsen). Since last Friday, when it became completely obvious, I was dealing with a sickness that needed medical attention, I thought about going to the ER. Since I made it through the weekend, I decided to try to get an appointment with my doctor on Monday. I got the 2:00 pm spot. Doctor gave orders to stay home and rest till Saturday. I’m not thrilled.

I’m glad I went. Geeze, I was trying to remember the last time I had the flu. It had to be when we were living in Port Charlotte. That’s an hour south of Sarasota. That was 22 years ago. I was stunned, I’d been flu- vaccinated. I think it was sometime between September and November. I must have picked up a weird version of Flu A. Lucky me.

I just wanted to keep you guys updated. I’m still here. I’m going to be changing stuff around in my blog site—I think. I know I’m going to be upgrading to more GB space.

It’s 12:11am. I am fading fast. Goodnight, everyone.

Rainbow in Casselberry, Florida. I took this photo this Spring.
