The above is from an article on HuffPost.
After reading this article I was struck by two things: how the hell did I miss the fact that Charles Lindbergh was an anti-Semite? and, I haven’t given enough thought to wealthy white supremacists.
After reading about Regnery’s death, I realized that everyone needs to read about this loser. It demonstrates the ease to which systemic racism grows.
This racist individual who, apparently, lived a stone’s throw from me when I lived in Port Charlotte, Florida, had connections and influence that stretched its long tentacles into the social and governmental foundations of our country. Judges, politicians, others in high places spread their distorted, soulless beliefs and make important decisions upon those beliefs. It’s sickening.
It’s a wall that needs to be plowed through.
I don’t understand the logic these individuals maintain. Why are they so mortified by the idea that whites may someday become a minority? It only makes sense if you recognize that that, on some level, they recognize the unfair treatment minorities receive and they do not want to be receivers of such treatment.
So, on some level, they must believe that minorities deserve their fate simply because they are minorities.
It’s just plain stupid.
I do not mourn this idiot’s passing.
I mourn the lost chances to learn and to educate and become empathetic, compassionate humans.
They are so very Christian, aren’t they? Despicable.
That’s all I can say for now. I have to make breakfast. I’ve been up for hours and haven’t eaten. I just had to vent a little.
