Sick of being worried

The financial hell continues.

This is how my life feels right now. The Tower Tarot card is not a happy card. Transformative upheaval. I feel as though this transformation will lead to something better, but it sure hurts like hell as I’m going through it. My photo. My Tarot deck.

My auto insurance is going to get canceled on 9/5. I owe $300. That’s thus month’s premium.

I will need $99 for my health insurance premium. I need the health insurance to cover my continuing physical therapy, which ideally is three times per week. I still have a few weeks to go.

We, thankfully, raised the funds to pay our $400+ overdue electric bill. We are extremely grateful to all of those who sent us money. The normal electric bill is $225. It’s due 9/3.

Our rent is $1250, $1300, with the late fee. I will receive my social security check on, or about the 20th. It will be $1074. So, it will not cover it all, and again, the possibility of eviction is hanging over us. The social security checks were MEANT to cover the next month’s rent. I’m still fighting with Unum, the HR company, for the month-worth of checks they owe me, and I’m in limbo over returning to work. They lie about what paperwork they’ve received from my doctor. I’m going to start looking for a different job that will be unrelated to this Unum train wreck.

I’ll be two month’s late on my car payment on 9/12. That’s $300 times two.

I have $10 in the bank and have a quarter tank of gas, so I might not have enough to get to physical therapy on Tuesday.

I had to take Sharon to the ER last night around 10 pm-ish. That pretty much cost my my PT gas. I think I left around 2:40 am (today) after learning she was being admitted. She had three vertebrae fused a couple of weeks ago and experienced a sharp pain, and tingling after reaching for something. At the hospital she received two CT scans. One of her throat and chest area—to look for possible blood clots that could be surgery consequences—surprisingly, it revealed a nodule on her thyroid. This was unexpected. Blood tests showed the UTI she is still on antibiotics for still haven’t killed the infection. I just picked her up on Monday for the hospital stay that UTI caused. Tomorrow or tonight she’s getting an MRI done.

This is about the TENTH (I’ve lost count) hospital stay she’s had since I had knee replacement surgery on 5/30. I was supposed to have someone at home to help me with temporary mobility issues. Our townhouse has 14 steps. I was still using a walker. Her first hospital stay began on about 6/4-5. She was there till 6/10. On that date she had to take me to the ER because it looked as if my surgery wound was infected. My gut told me it was an allergic reaction to the surgery bandage adhesive. At the hospital the staff thought I was going septic. I got admitted. I was given antibiotics and morphine for pain. After two days they decided that I was allergic to the bandage adhesives.

All of our hospital stays, including my surgery happened at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, near Orlando.

Thankfully, on Monday, after I picked her up from the hospital we went to the Publix that’s next door and grocery shopped. She’d just had her monthly EBT (food stamp) money added to her account. So, we have food. Also, last night, she let me take that card in case I need other food items while she’s at the hospital.

I’m to the point where I’m trying to stay numb, and crying intermittently. I’m crying right now.

My roommate and I are desperate. Not only has she missed months of work, but she lost her job.

I am asking, from all the social media outlets I have, for financial help, of any size, from anyone.

We both will be forever grateful. We both are thankful for any help we’ve already received.

I have two accounts you can send money to.

Venmo: @SPAMMY0219 (that’s zero 219)
