My knee surgery scar is looking better. The right leg is still darker and redder than the left leg. This is from the nasty allergic reaction to the surgery bandages. The skin is still tight, but has begun to peel around my ankle.
I applied for early retirement with the Social Secunity Administration on Wednesday. It’s 4 am Thursday, but psychologically, it’s still Wednesday because I haven’t slept yet.I just can’t deal with the soul sucking variable of working retail. I will still work 15-20 hours per week at my current job, for as long as I can stand it, but my main focus is going to be on selling some writing. Honestly, this is probably the only way I’ll get a career going doing that. Yep, at 64, I still have not given up on that dream. There are also a few home based businesses I’m interested in starting. One is candle making. I used to do that in junior high (yeah, I’m old as dirt; we did not call it middle school). I loved making candles. My mom was never thrilled I dirtied her pits, and the kitchen.
I guess the best news on Wednesday came from my roommate’s brother. He’s lending us the missing $400 to pay our rent today, Thursday. It’s always due by the 4th of each month.
The pain is diminishing so that I actually am getting some sleep, but my cycle is messed up. The other morning I had horrible pains around my ankle that felt like I was getting jabbed with a needle every 6-8 seconds. It was unbearable. I was two hours from taking my Levothyroxine (thyroid hormone), which has to has a four hour cushion before and after taking it. So, I can’t take kind of medicine or supplement, or interactions could occur during those four hour periods. It was hurting so bad I HAD to take two Tylenol and adjust when I took the Levothyroxine.
I’m glad those pains haven’t returned.
Just wanted to give you some updates.
I’m going to try to unwind reading a few pages of my Amy Tan novel.
Take care of yourselves.
Later.
