Surgery chores can be added to that list in the title. I washed my walker from 4.5 years ago, when I had my first knee replacement (the left one). My insurance company will give me one every five years. It hasn’t been that long, and I have a perfectly good walker. Why should I get another one that will take up more space at home.

I also have the medical toilet that I have to wash. Thank god I don’t have to use it as a toilet and go in the bucket. I just need a raised seat. And, I have to assemble the shower stool.

I’m grateful to have each of these things.

I am going to finish my crappy week story because it’s such a tale of frustration that many can relate to. It’s also a testament to how ridiculous the American Healthcare system is. We have the best doctors, nurses, hospitals, and medical schools but we have an insurance system, which is what we really have. It’s barely a healthcare system. Insurance companies strangle the ability of many doctors to do the work they need to do. Gawd, I can’t even imagine the accounting hell every doctor’s office has to deal with.

I have to try and write up my Go Fund Me campaign page also, so I might write that up before I write my blog post.

My Progressive auto insurance premium is supposed to deduct on Tuesday 5/28. I pray to God that my first short term disability check gets deposited. Today marks two weeks since Unum put me on leave. My leave was actually supposed to start two days later on 5/14, but again, they screwed up. I could have called and complained and had it changed, but then that would probably delay my checks starting even further.

Yeah, Unum’s screw ups are another thing that made that week crappy.
